- Was anything confusing or unclear?:
Some rules wording in the Rules Ref could be more clear, particularly Charge, Volley, Flanking and Transport rules.
- Did you find anything frustrating?:
Gecko admitted that he doesn't like the blind-draw activation (like in Bolt Action and Legion too) but isn't the fault of the game, just his preference. In particular because it leads to the occasion hot streak of one player activating many units at one time.

I did not like that with rules-as-written (RAW) that units can shoot and then move into close combat on the same turn. This was an oversight on my part.
- How much do you feel luck or difference in skill level influenced the outcome of your game's result?:
Not really. Gecko won, I conceded at the end of round 4. I just wasn't aggressive enough with capturing objectives.
I initially had some lucky draws in the early rounds with multiple activations in a row but then it flipped near the end, so it balanced out overall.
- Did anything feel too strong, too weak, or just about right?:
Clone Commandos are definitely too strong as is. They are expensive yes, but the value you get from them is insane. I think either dropping them from 3 bases to 2, OR reducing their save from 4+ to 5+ is a good change for further fair testing.
The Republic faction overall is pretty good, Separatist are very specialized in their roles which isn't a bad thing. In fairness to myself I came unprepared to the battle and threw together a CIS list in about 5 minutes. I think the only egregious thing in this game were the Commandos.

TJ-55 at 70pts cost is must too given his the limited nature of his effect. Obi-Wan at the same 70pt cost was giving far more value for his points by comparison. Recommend a reduction in points to at least 60pts to start.
- What did you find most fun in your game?:
Gecko said it was very easy to get units on the board and start playing quickly. Good accessibility with the army builder, and TTS mod support.

I was surprised how quickly the game was moving especially since it was Gecko's first game. He read the Learn to Play rules in advance but didn't have many questions. He picked up the rules very fast and we got through a full 1000 point game in 1 hour 45 minutes (stopping at the end of round 4, but round 5 wouldn't have take more than 15 minutes or less). So I'm very happy with the 'easy to learn, quick to play' area.
- What do you feel, if anything, can be improved?:
Currently, Charging with RAW is pointless as an action when you can simply shoot and then simple action move into base contact to fight again. I will likely change it so that you can only initiate Close Combat on a Charge complex action, but also make it so that you have extra distance to travel when you do. Perhaps 2x or 1.5x unit's move stat.
